Floors

What type of floor should your apartment have?

Floors that are easy to clean and provide a comfortable living atmosphere are recommended to owners (e.g. parquet, timber, laminated or linoleum floors). Carpeted floors do not appeal to many tenants as they are harder to clean.

But this does not mean that you cannot have any carpets at all; you can have smaller carpets and rugs. These provide a warmer, comfortable environment for living. Just make sure that they are easy to clean. Dark-coloured carpets are a lot better than white or light ones for this reason.

Cleaning

If your floor needs to be cleaned in a special way, make sure that the tenant is aware of all the details. These details need to be mentioned in the ‘Directions of Usage’ of your apartment.
