The protection of your personal data is important to us. In the following text we will inform users of our website on what kind of data we save, when we save it, and how we use it. 1.Personal data

When you use the online-form to inquire about, request, or offer a flat through Crocodilian you will be asked to provide certain personal details such as: name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, prospective tenants, date of birth, occupation, and employer. We require this information in order to carry out our work as a housing agency. It is your independent decision to disclose this information to us. If you do not wish to give us this information, we will be unable to work for you.

We store your information on specially protected servers in Germany and France. Only a few people who take care of technical support of the server have access to it.


When visiting our website, we collect data (server log files), such as name of the website accessed, file, date, time of access and amount of data transmitted, notice of successful retrieval, browser type and version, user’s operating system, referral URL (previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider. The data will not be used in a personal way. Crocodilian uses the log data solely for statistical evaluation, operational purposes, and for the security and opitmisation of the site.

Crocodilian reserves the right to review log data retrospectively if there is concrete suspicion of unlawful or illegal activity by the user.

2.Handling of personal data and transfer to a third party

Crocodilian only requests and stores personal information that is necessary for the conclusion of a rental agreement. We only pass these on to third parties – tenants / landlords or their representatives, if it is a pre-requisite for a successful mediation.

If, in the context of processing an order, we pass on data to service providers (such as cleaning companies, etc), this will only be done if they themselves have committed to data protection in accordance with the BDSG. We will transfer your data to the appropriate authorities, should we be obligated by law or court order to do so.

3.Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to have any personal data given us deleted at any time. Data for billing and accounting purposes or data that is relevant to an existing lease is not affected by a termination and cannot be deleted.

4.Retention Period

If a contract is concluded personal data is kept for 10 years. If Personal data is given, but does not result in a contract, it will be deleted within 6 months.

5.Contacting Crocodilian by e-mail

When contacting Crocodilian, information provided by the user will be stored in order to process the request and to process any follow-up questions.

6.Newsletter

The newsletter provides you with information about us and any offers we may have.

If you want to receive the newsletter, we need a valid email address and information that we can use to verify that you are the owner of the given email address and agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected. This date is only used for sending the newsletter and will not be given to third parties.

When registering for the newsletter, we save your IP and the date of registration.
